Yesterday’s competition to guess the mystery car was merely a dry-run to today’s puzzler, which could reward your efforts with a pair of tickets to the opening round of the FIA GT Championship at Silverstone on 2/3rd May. This time we’ve raised the bar and you will need to guess ‘two’ cars correctly.

Track 1:

Track 2:

To help you along we’ve cropped an image of each car (although we’ll not tell you which picture matches which sound).

So take a listen and send your answers over to us at competition@drivers-republic.com labelling your answers for Track1 and Track2, plus ‘Mystery Car Competition’ in the subject line. You can enter as many times as you like.

We’ll give you until next Tuesday 21st April at 12pm (GMT) to provide your answers and the winner will be announced a few days later.

Best of luck!

    @Steve (DR) -

    Congrats John, and thanks Steve for putting me out of my misery with the S3, the people in my local Waitrose have been giving me odd looks when I cruise around the car park staring at their fog lights! :-)
  • @John - John, I just sent you an email congratulating you on winning the final pair of tickets (you were the first person to provide the correct answers). Please send me your address and I will arrange for the tickets to be sent today.

    The correct answers were;

    Track1: Audi S3 S-tronic

    Track2: Vauxhall VRX8 Bathurst S

    (p.s. didn't the VXR8 Bathurst S sound good?) ;)

    @Steve - Got Track 2. Can you tell me whether the car in Track 1 is has a DSG style gearbox, or a fast-shifting automatic/single clutch flappy-paddle box?
  • @Billy - The picture is not taken from the rear of the car.

    Can you tell me whether the picture on the right is taken from the back (i.e. diffuser) of the car?
  • @ShelL - I can't give you a direct answer, but I can tell you that neither car is made by Ford.

    Track 2 — Focus RS ?
  • Feel free to ask questions but bear in mind that you may be giving your fellow competitors an advantage..

    P.s. we've driven both cars in the past month, but not necessarily as 'first drives'
