KTM X-Bow tackles ski-slope and wins? We’re not so sure.

And the award for the most absurd and pointless use of a roofless, windowless sports-car goes to… KTM! Okay, we must admit it looks pretty cool sitting there in the snow but I’m not convinced that it drove there under its own steam.
The scene in the background is The Arlberg, home to a selection of the most exclusive hotels and restaurants in Austria and voted amongst the world’s best skiing resorts. This winter hot spot attracts more than 800,000 guests from around the world who savour its guaranteed snow at 1,400 metres above sea level in exclusive surroundings. The restaurant is called Rud-Alpe, which is well known for the quality of its kitchen and wine cellar.
Sounds like a good reason to at least ‘try’ and reach it in KTM’s X-Bow.
The real reason for these pictures are to remind us of KTM’s ‘PowerWear’ accessories range, which include homologated snow tyres, snow chains and protective clothing. But KTM swears that even on snow-covered streets there’s sufficient grip to let the X-Bow drift spectacularly without losing control. Hmmm, perhaps KTM’s press team became a little carried away when translating that part of the press release…
